Break-out the running shoes and get ready for the 8th Annual Arbor Day 5K on Friday, April 28, 2017!
With 125 acres of trees, activity areas and an urban fishing lake, Kiwanis Park the perfect setting for this community fun run/walk that benefits the Trees for Tempe program.
Arbor Day 5K event activities begin at 4:30 p.m. with on-site registration, packet pick-up and an event expo, featuring a tree planting. Grab one of the shovels that will be provided and help make Tempe's urban forest more vital!
The Arizona 811 .811-Mile Fun Run begins at 6 p.m. There is no fee for the AZ 811 .811-Mile Fun Run, though on-site registration is required.
The 8th annual Arbor Day 5K Run/Walk kicks off at 6:15 p.m. The course is a single, scenic loop through Kiwanis Park. The registration fee is $20 through April 27 and increases to $25 the day of the event (Friday, April 28, 2017).
